Hochschulmanagement im Zeichen der IT
In den vergangenen zehn Jahren hat sich die deutsche Hochschullandschaft tiefgreifender verändert, als dies viele für möglich gehalten hätten. Zahlreiche Reformen haben dabei ihre Spuren hinterlassen und auch die Steuerung des Unternehmens Hochschule vor neue Anforderungen gestellt. Als Mitte der 1990er Jahre die Reformbewegung im Hochschulbereich begann, wurde schnell klar, dass all dies ohne eine geeignete IT-Unterstützung nicht realisierbar sein würde. Daher gingen Reformen und Aus-/Aufbau der Hochschul-IT Hand in Hand, getrieben von dem Wunsch, die an den Hochschulen vorhandenen Ressourcen effizient und zielgerichtet zu nutzen. Was aber ist letztlich geblieben? Die Hochschulen verfügen zweifelsohne heute über mächtigere IT-Werkzeuge, neue Führungsstrukturen und über einen höheren Grad an Autonomie. Werden aber die vorhandenen IT-Strukturen in ausreichendem Maße genutzt, um das Hochschulmanagement zu unterstützen und die selbst gesteckten Ziele zu erreichen? Der Beitrag möchte die Entwicklung der Hochschul-IT betrachten und analysieren, inwiefern Potentiale genutzt und Möglichkeiten vertan wurden oder auch Perspektiven bleiben. Im Vordergrund stehen dabei die Steuerung der Hochschule sowie das Management ihrer Kernprozesse.
