3.2 Sheet formation by pouring method
The video presents paper sheet formation by pouring method, characteristic for papermaking traditions in Highland Asia. In this technique, the mould is reversed top to bottom and placed in a tray shallowly filled with water, the thick papermaking slurry is poured on top of the sieve from a cup and manually distributed over the sieve. The footage was recorded at the Gangolf Ulbricht papermaking studio in Berlin, Germany.
