Declaration on accessibility

This declaration of accessibility applies to the website published at lecture2go.uni-hamburg.de.

As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we strive to ensure that our websites and mobile applications comply with the provisions of the Hamburg Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities Act (hereinafter referred to as HmbBGG) and the Hamburg Barrier-Free Information Technology Regulation (hereinafter referred to as HmbBITVO) Implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 to make it accessible.

State of compatibility with requirements

The requirements of accessibility result from paragraph 1 HmbBITVO in conjunction with paragraphs 3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and paragraph 4 of the BITV of the federal government, which was issued on the basis of paragraph 11 HmbBGG.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on an assessment carried out by BITV-Consult in the period 10.03.2022 - 21.03.2022 by Mr. Detlef Girke in accordance with HmbBITVO / BITV 2.0 / EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1.

Based on the review, the website is partially compatible with the aforementioned requirements due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Result: The website is already well designed in many areas for all users. Currently, however, the website is not yet completely BITV-compliant. The requirements are to be taken into account as part of a technical revision of the website.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

Recorded audio files and silent videos do not have a media alternative as defined in requirement 9.1.2.1 of EN 301549.

Recorded videos with information-carrying visual content do not have audio description or full-text alternative as defined in requirement 9.1.2.3 of standard EN 301549.

Live broadcast videos do not have subtitles as defined in requirement 9.1.2.4 of standard EN 301549.

Recorded videos with information-carrying visual content do not have audio description as defined in requirement 9.1.2.5 of standard EN 301549.

The following measures are planned to achieve accessibility:

All videos in German and English are automatically transcribed and made available to users as subtitles. Manual corrections can be made by the uploaders, and the subtitle editor can also be used as a tool to provide a media alternative for silent videos. Alternatively, the description field displayed below the videos can be used for this purpose.
